Learning to use ultrasound for vessel access eliminates the need for `blind sticking`. Step by Step Ultrasound Guided PICC Insertion Training is a program that teaches the clinician how to use ultrasound for vessel identification, visualization and more specifically, to aid in needle access during PICC placement.

This program specifically focuses on the step by step procedures necessary to perform an ultrasound guided insertion using the Modified Seldinger Technique. Some of the topics covered include: Following the needle tip on the screen

The Step by Step Ultrasound Guided PICC Insertion Training assumes you already have a general knowledge of ultrasound or have completed part 1 of our ultrasound training program, Understanding the Basic of Ultrasound, which teaches how to operate an ultrasound unit. Please refer to that course first if you are not familiar with ultrasound technology.

The program includes a manual which can be downloaded for future reference. Successful completion of the post-test with a score of 80% or higher is necessary to receive continuing education credits for this program.
